Hi there guys,

Here's one for you!

Im running my dmx on my samsung q45, 183gh core duo, 3gb ram, Vista 32.
Ive had no problems at all with it until now.

What happens is i can plug it in, achieve red power light ad flashing dmx, then when i start my dmx i get red on, and both green flashing at me.
In the software i can move sliders etc.
Now the problem lies when i start up with dmx cabling attached to the unit, the software will only boot in demo mode...
so i leave the dmx off boot it up, then attach the cable. the heads then spin to the desired position the faders are at... then nothing, it refuses to react to the software.

Its not the cables or head as ive tested it with freestyler and it works.

Ie tried everything and to no sucess.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Delglasgow, I think you should take this unit back to the store you bought it from and tell them your issues. I am not certain wherein exactly your issue lies. It's best to have your local dealers and/or ADJ office trouble shoot it with you hands on. Once you bring it to the store they will contact the local ADJ office and they will take care of it. If you have any questions please let me know.
Sincerely,
Hey Jingles,
have you gone over the startup procedure with Delglasgow? That sounds like the problem since he's now got it working... I still screw it up now and again. Is that still an issue with the new version? Mine is still running fine, so I'm of the mind that "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Paul
I'm wondering if he installed the software AND drivers properly? I don't support Vista(and neither does Microsoft, go figure...), but going with a fresh 32-bit install, I can't see their being any major issues.

The only other thing I can suggest outside of swappng cables is to try different USB ports.

Again, for those who need the review:

Boot machine, login if necessary. Wait until all the other services and crap get going.

Plug in the MyDMX hardware AFTER connecting the lighting signal(DMX) to the dongle.

Wait for happy tones. Got it? Good. Run MyDMX.
