My dmx and jellyfish

I'm struggling with the 28 ch dmx mode with the Jellyfish and mydmx 1.
1st Do I need to load all of the jellyfish profiles (modes 1-3) I to mydmx?

2nd how do you create custom chases in 28 ch mode? Do I still need profile modes 1-2 loaded?

Typically on lights that have more than one Pixel I replace them with sets of RGB banks, and then single channels re named as the Macro Channels. Other wise they won't chase through a 28 channel fixture.
