Is there a way to tell the fx generator that my fixture (lumi led-100 mk2) has 3 independant section?
I have 4 of them stacked in a 1x4 matrix and i would like to use them as 3x4 matrix.

this is a bug in the FX generator that we are working on. Should be fixed soon
I am curious how to set up the matrix. I have not been able to find a way to break out each section of my Chauvet colorrails. I know they have options to split into 4 and 8 sections with the dmx modes I am using but how do I patch or add effects to make each section independant? 4 lights 4 sections 16 independant lights?

the current work around is to expand the light to have only RGB control (usually the most channels mode) then, instead of patching the fixture profile, you would use the generic profile for RGB.... fixture has 8 sections you would patch 8-RGB lights 4 fixtures would then equate out to 32 RGB fixtures....then you would matrix them in lines of 8....
