I just purchased a VMS4 and am having a problem with recording in VDJ LE. No matter how I have the levels or faders set, both channels 2 and 3, are recorded. Tech suppot at AA say it is VDJ LE and that I need to upgrade to VDJ Pro 7. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I dont mind upgrading to VDJ Pro, (although if this is the problem they should comp a serial number to fix their problem), but I wouldn't want to spend the money to find out that the true problem is in the VMS4.

Now I have yet to try and record through vdj7 and the vms4, was planning on doing it tonight at my gig, but since the VMS4 does the fading (notice how nothing moves on vdj when eqing/crossfading etc) if you are recording through vdj it could go off of the software faders?? I will have to confirm this tonight but i'll get back to you later if no one else can answer
So my initial thought was right, since the VMS4 acts as the mixer and vdj does not, the default settings will not work for recording. I haven't tried this but I know you can change the faders to be midi controllers and that should work with vdj recording. What I'm gonna try tonight is going from my booth output to my microphone input on my laptop and record through audacity. Whether or not this is going to retain quality or not I will have to see. Too late to test as I gotta be to the gig in an hour but I'll let you know how it works out.
