Mirror Ball Trouble

hey,
ya man it should work and i don't see what the problem is with a mobile dj haveing a mirro ball maby it's cuz it could break? cuz am a mobile dj and i have a 12' mirro ball...

but i guess maby it depends on the size that your planning on getting

I have used a 12" mirror ball for years with no problem. It is mounted (centered) on a 10' truss system. My 2 Pocket Scans provide plenty of light. One tip tho...don't leave the ball in your vehicle in extreme heat or cold. The mirrors will fall off. Keep 'em spinnin'!! -Ken-

Van man, buy the adj artifical mirror ball. I have one... works well. Its a little black thing with wholes in it lol. Look on the website. It sits on a table.

It is mounted (centered) on a 14' truss system. My 4 X-treme's provide plenty of light. (plus i use 4 pin spot's that i put on the floor that shine up on the mirror ball)

I have a 12 inch mirror ball, and what I do is a take my color changer (the one and only color 150 dmx) and shine it one my mirror ball so the that mirror's change color. It provides a cool effect!

Yea, that song's great. I have a 12" mirror ball, and I got a coffee can metal lid thingy, and cut it the size of the motor. The lid bolts to the truss, and the motor screws into the lid/plate thing. It works great, and it supports the weight well too.

Mirror balls can give an elelgant look and are a classic but if not taken care of properly the mirrors will fall off and everything! A big mess! It all depends if thats what you want. I myself think it gives a good effect and is a definate for every wedding party! My advice to you if you want a disco ball is to have a custom case made! To keep it from harm. I have to say that a disco ball wouldn't be the easiest way to go though. But it's all your choice! Hope this helps!

I have a 12" mirror ball and mount it to the center of my lighting truss and I got the mounting bracket for it to be compatiable with the truss. Use Rainbows, Pocket, and when ever they come Autos spots

I also wanted a mirror ball to use during slow songs but being mobile it is sometimes a problem hanging a ball. I looked at the Mini Starball and Starball 2. I finally decided on the Starball 2 and I like it very well. It sits on top of one of my floor standing speaker nicely and is usually birght enough for most of the places I play at.

we are now coming out with a DMX controlled Mirror Ball motor that also can control the Parcan/pinspots to light it.

We'll not to brag or anything, but mines a 16 incher. Mine works great, I mount it from the center of my truss, (had to rig a custom mount to bring it forward about 5" due to the configuration of my lights) and I use my Mighty Scans to light it up! Can change colors, scroll through colors or gobos for cool effects, or strobe on it. All kinds of cool effects from one little ol' mirror ball. I just use the box mine came in for travel, its and ADJ ball, the box is pretty sturdy and pretty well padded with styrofoam. They can deffinatley be used for mobile applications, that guy didn't know what he was talking about. Starball is always an option, but its a little different effect. And besides I Love my mirror ball. By the way its a MIRROR ball not a DISCO ball!

I hope it has programs and all the nuts and bolts and things too! Also, I hope its not expensive!
