does anyone have any suggestions/tip/tricks for mounting a mirror ball on a stand?

I bought it under the impression it would have a hook or something to mount right on a stand

I have this type of stand and thought I could hang the mirror ball from the top arm and have the spotlight attached to the bottom arm shining upwards

the motor base of the mirror ball is for ceiling type mounting only

anyone out there have a similar set up?

any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated. I have a wedding gig Saturday and had hoped to have a new lighting setup

Thanks

ADJ makes a small mounting bracket that bolts onto the motor. It's called the MBA-1. Works great. Works with the C-clamps AND works with with O-clamps, but you have to use a hex nut instead of the wing nut that comes with the O-Clamp.

I then took some carbiners(excuse me if I spelled ir wrong), and went from the O-ring on the motor mount to the O-right on the mirror ball. Quick set-up and tear-town and no messing with a chain!

I took things a step further. I went and bought additional I-beam trus spans to make a 15' I-Beam truss, works great. With the extra parts, I was able to use a T-bracket and one of the parts that would go vertically at the points where the truss sections meet. I use this in the MIDDLE of the truss section, on the bottom rail, and can angle it straight out to give my mirror ball some room away from the truss. Repeat on the other two sections to mount Par36's and you've got a 3-D truss! I should take pictures, it would make more sense.
