Hey ADJ light techs, I have an american DJ 16" mirror ball, less than a year old, and the mirrors are trying to come off. A was doing a gig, looked up and saw a small section of the bottom of the ball hanging down! Eeker I got on a case and pressed them back in position and they seem to be sticking. My question is why is this happening. I store it in my garage which is "kinda" heated. Could the cold cause the mirrors to "unstick"? Or do I have a defective mirror ball? I take excellent care of it, pack it in its original container with styrofoam and bubble pack. Any clues? Confused

I've seen this happen before too...It's just from setting it in a container and taking it back out alot. At least that what happened to one we had to take one out of the box and wrapper each time...We then bought a case for it,and use bubble wrap to surround it before putting it in the case.
I had to re-stick some at the very bottom with some liquid silicone adhesive. (the clear stuff) You could also use something like "liquid nails" that you can find at home depot or even walmart.
I hope this helps!

Planetd77, it's definitely the heat causing the glue to melt. It happened to my 12" ball also. Kepp it out of your garage and in the house till you are ready to go to the gig. That solved my problem. Also if you store it in a cloth bag as I do, use white not a dark color as that will absorb heat. White will reflect heat and spare your ball from even more heat as you drive to the gig. Hope this helps. Keep 'em spinnin'!! -Ken-
