mirror ball

Runnin a mobile setup I prefer the 12". Not too big, not too small. and a pair of color changers to make er stand out.

thats what i got is a 12inch mirror ball with spots great cheap effect

The size is pretty much up to you, the bigger the better it looks. If you have the extra money I would get a frensel instead of a pinspot, or a 200w Par 46 with a narrow reflector. Or at least get a 50w super spot.

for the best effect use Color DMX150's or use your intelligent light to hit the mirror ball

you dont want to use a frenel because it will hit the ball and also hit the wall behind it making the room a tad bit brighter than what it was.

True, but it depends how big the mirror ball is, the reflector on the frensel, and how far it is placed from the mirror ball.

Why would you want to use a Fresnel? A Fresnel is a wash fixture. You want to use a lighting instrument with a narrow spot when lighting a mirror ball.

thats true. I did some dances when I was in the 8th grade and they used a fresnel on a mirror ball and it worked but it hit the ball and the wall behind it making the room light up a little bit because the light would bounce off the walls.

Use a spot light(S) or a couple color 150s.
