I'm using the Mini-C to black out my Color 150 DMX's when I have them in Master / Slave mode. Sometimes I'm going to be doing lights myself from the stage and I won't be able to go with what I've programmed from my DMX board. I planned on using the Mini-C as a footswitch. This thing is way cheesy.....flimsy with a strange telephone line conductor that ends in a stereo 1/4" plug on the fixture end of it. Does anyone know of an alternate switching device to this. It's three conductor going into the light so it can't be rocket science. there has to be some power coming through there too to light the on/off LED. I've tried guitar footswitches and everything but nothing will emulate the Mini-C's signal. I just want something heavier duty that I can stomp on to black them out. I have a friend that 's very good with electronics that's going to try and build me a footswitch but I thought I'd see if anyone had other ideas....
