First you put the Controller in your right hand. Then wait for a full moon to come out. Go outside, hold up the Controller to the moon, now rotate three times counter clockwise while repeating these words. "You are a Mini C controller, YOU are not a Vertigo Controller anymore". I guarantee it will then work as a MINI C controller Wink

Ps its the same thing
thanks support :-) that was fun, but...

I have two XP3's and two verti-pro controllers (I bought two verti-pros and they came with comtrollers) One of the controllers had never been opened as I didn't use them.

So it seems unless I have two defective controllers and/or two defective XP3s, they don't work together.

Neither controller will black out either XP3 :-(
the plug at the end is stereo.

Perhaps I misunderstood the purpose of the black out controller (and forgot to mention one other piece of info in my original post)

they do black out the XP3s as long as I continue to press the button.

I would have expected the controller to black out the devices until it was pressed again. Did I assume wrong? My intent is to "black out" the lights most of the time (only have them on at key points every few songs). I obviously can't hold the button down that long :-)

Did I make a bad assumption about how the black out controller is suppose to work? If so, I'm in a bad place. I could run the XP3s off a relay and just turn them on (I can bear the warm up time and live with burning bulbs out a bit faster) but when they power up, they don't seem to retain their settings (Master at F2 and slave at 1).

thanks again! - tim
