First things first, I started out with 4 mighty scans and an operator 2. Everything worked great. Had them installed and programs set. Worked for about 1 1/2years.
About 2 months ago, I bought 4 more mighty scans (total of 8) and chained them together and nothing worked. (couldn't get anything to move manually) I couldn't get any DMX control on them, BUT I could get the sound activated control to work.
After checking and cleaning everything including the lines, I called a tech out. The tech came out and ran a bunch of tests on all my lines and mighty scans and came back with nothing. He asked to bring one to the shop for further testing and calls me back saying its not working. Aparently its getting DMX into it and out of it, but its not processing the information being sent to it.
I ask him what causes that and he says lightning, powere surge or maybe some problem with the electrical? Does any of this make sense? What are my options? Is it worth it to have them fixed?
