I have 4 Mighty's and 3 are working fine but I have retired one for a while just for backup, so I decided to use the backup (which was put awawy for about 8 months) I placed a new bulb in the unit and I got very dim light and eventually the bulb burned within 3 minutes. I don't think this is normal. I called the local dealer and the bulb was not covered under any warranty and he told me to bring the unit in for service. I don't understand the unit was working fine before I placed it away and now it's acting up.
Any sugentions Thanks!

I am having that same problem. I tried three different lamps after the original lamp blew:

>2 "Damar" brand lamps (lasted about 2 hours a piece)

>An "Osram" standard ELC 5 (lasted one hour)

>finally an "Osram" ELC-7 which is still working to this day, the ELC-7 puts out about a 1/3 less output than a ELC 5 which is really annoying. The less output means a little less heat from the lamp, maybe my fan isn't running at tip top condition??? I am sending my fixture back to AMDJ Friday. I still have 8 months of my warrenty.
