In a nutshell, all the MIDI note and CC triggers I'd setup for my show (v4.22 as I called it) were missing.

At the beginning of the night MyDMX did not respond. Which meant I had to trigger everything from the mouse.

When I discovered the problem, I checked the MIDI signal by "assigning" a trigger to a Scene. And it triggered fine no problem.

MIDI Channels and Notes and CC and Interface and Computers were all the same. (note: yes, i am using a separate laptop to run MyDMX as things run MUCH smoother that way)

This is not the first time this has happened to me. Last time was on a different computer, same USB MIDI interface (my show v3.xx).

The only thing I can do to correct it is to RE-assign (RE-setup) all the MIDI triggers in MyDMX.
I Tried running a previous saved version of the show (v4.21) but it accepted no MIDI triggers either.

Any thoughts?

I'm a bit confused, but I think you've been clear. You seem to give your shows version numbers.

If MyDMX does NOT exit cleanly, I've had the problem of my MIDI information being lost, which is why I keep saying DOCUMENT everything. Just in case, and you're showing why. Stuff happens, it's happened to me. Best to be prepared.

Save often. Work on copies if you must. I'm sure you'll burn through version numbers. Oh well, cost of doing business. BUT: quit and test. DON'T assume it's in there unless you prove it to yourself.

I had an issue recently where I was making lighting changes to scenes before the show during tech rehearsals, and I find out come show time that the changes didn't stick. I even saved, using the MENU. So, don't trust anything, make it PROVE itself!!! I still have those show notes, so I won't run into this load of mayhem again.

Also, sometimes MyDMX doesn't launch clean. I test MyDMX by hitting "W" for "2-second fade to WHITE" which is my all lights ON and ALL WHITE scene, then "-" which is my snap blackout. If those run as expected, I'm good to go. If not, quite MyDMX and try again. Any glitches now require a reboot. I also do a quick MIDI test as well.
