Midi 2 American DJ consoles

I am thinking of purchasing a second controller. I have a Operator Pro, but it only controls 8 fixtures. I was thinking of purchasing a second comparable controller, as I like the features of the Operator Pro, and connect the second controller through midi to operate the other. Will this work? I am assuming the slave would follow the master when scenes or chases were selected on the master. Am I correct? Also, is there any documentation anywhere on how to set this up? Thanks!

I really don't think this will work. You would need to send DMX through both consoles because as you stated you have reached a limit on the PRO. Perhaps one larger console?

I appreciate your response. That's kinda what I figured. Here's my next question... there is another dealer from Hong Kong saying that one WILL control another through midi... if they won't, what use is midi if any on these consoles? Is that why there is no real literature regarding midi on these? I've read a lot of similar posts asking about use of midi on these, and most of the answers state that it doesn't really serve a purpose...

Well my thinking on it is most users use a midi software like cubase or something like that and assign the proper midi notes or CC#'s in the software to trigger the right scene at the right time. I do not believe midi was implemented in the controller to be used with another dmx controller. Make sense?
