Anyone have this case?
I got mine a few days ago and the top really doesn't close that well on it. When closed the top is inside the joint on the front of the case that it is supposed to seal with, so you have to press hard under the latch to get it to mate up correctly. I put my DJ Scans in there and the top doesnt close. I thought I needed to remove the feet because they are leaving strong imprints in the foam and it doesnt feel like there is enough room for them. Well, the feet have bolt/lock washers on the end, so those were floating around in my fixture. I had to void my warrenty to put the foot back on. I tried again knowing that the feet should be on and got one latch to close and I couldnt get the second one to line up. Then I couldn't get the first latch to release and it took about 15 minute to free my lights. I just s****ped the boxes 2 days ago that it shipped in. Can the hinges be adjusted? The case does not look bent, its like the hing is mounted too low I think. Any ideas/hints/suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

I got it to close after playing with it for a while. Had to sit on it to get it to compress enough to latch it. I think the inserts that hold the light inside the case are just a little too wide. The top and its hinges look fine though. I found that putting the hanging hardware on the bottom of the DJ Spots will not fit at all in the case. Is it ok to install/remove these over and over again? The bolts are going into threaded plastic (hard plastic though). Is there a wear issue as long as they are always started by hand and not torqued too hard when tightened?

Thanks for your help!

im feelin ya man, i bought my first case last november, closed fine, just bought two more heads and another MH CASE 2X and it doesn't close properly. My dealer ordered 4-5 more and said they are all messed up too and has let the production manager a message... but no one has called back... soo keep your ears peelled...... I WANT A RECALL! Kev, call them too, it helps, especially when adj has messed up.

I believe the 2 of you (i know kev does) own dj spot 250's. I own six of them and I have had the worst luck with them. 3 out of the 6 were out of alignment on the bottom where the hanging brackets bolt in. I had to send the lights back because the holes were so far out of wack that it was impossible to get a bolt in. Another thing is that the dj spots have changed from their original design slightly. They redesigned the projector unit slightly. The casing is more streamlined and the fan grills have been changed out. I own 2 of the older versions and 4 of the newer versions and the newer units run a loooot cooler then the older ones.
I have a feeling I have the newer model of the dj spot 250. Seems pretty cool when it runs. My hangers both fix well, but 1 of the bolts they gave me fits the threads but its a different size head, so I need to replace it so I dont have to bring a whole set of tools. All the bolts are the same size so far for the dura truss and the the hanging equipment. Im just a bit worried that they bolt into plastic that it will wear mounting/unmounting the hanger over and over again. Wish it fit in the case w/ it on...
