Mega Tripars in sound active mode - please help

Hi there,

I have several Mega Tri Par lights which I am controlling via DMX software.

My question is, can I put them all into sound active via DMX using channel 6 in 7 channel mode?

I can do it from the switches on the rear of the units and using the WWRC remote.

Any one done it successfully?

Hi Lizardpoint, yes this should work. channel 6 has two presets at values 240-247 for sound active mode 1, and 248-255 for sound active mode 2. Once either one of these are selected in the program, the pars should start doing their own thing. There should be no issue in getting them to do sound active mode on the 6th channel in 7ch mode.

Like Jingles said, yes you can put them in sound active mode via dmx in 7 channel mode. I have done so for many years.
