Mega Flash DMX Question

When using DMX to control the Mega Flash, can you set the RATE to use the internal MIC? Kind of like the movement (channel 6) for the pocketscans when set to 255? I would love to set these on the Mic and then control the brightness w/ the other channel to fade it in to the beat
