I have some "OG" Mega Bar 50's, one of which just took a dump on me on Friday(August 24, 2012) and I need it fixed by today(August 25th, 2012) for my show today. The reality is simply that there's no way this can get fixed in time.

I'm angry, but this is just because I can't resolve this issue. The show can and will go on. Stuff happens. Maybe more frustration than anger, but I'm not venting AT ADJ, just merely something came up and unfortunately it's an ADJ product that bit it.

1: As I need this product for my events next week(4 days of stuff in a row), I can't deal with ADJ's RA delays. The service department is great. My gear is under warranty, but I need resolve ASAP, so this means I need to buy parts. I'll likely buy an extra just in case.

2: The issue: the light is staying lit up blue when the dimmer channel is at ZERO. I run the fixture in 7 channel mode. It works fine in sound active(via DMX), will color change as per DMX programming, strobes, and otherwise works fine EXCEPT for the dark blue it shows when dimmer channel is at zero.

DMX controller: Elation Compu Show. Problem follows light, as even going to MyDMX and the appropriate interface yields identical results.

So, is this the part I need to buy?

Or do I need other parts? Or will the DMX chip itself be sufficient(and half the price). Are there other parts I should consider having in inventory? I have extra knobs, feed, caps, the AC inputs and outputs and fuses. Thank goodness the fuses work in all my ADJ LED fixtures!

I have 7 others that work fine. Stuff happens. Just, as per typical, when stuff takes a dump, it's always at a bad time when you don't have spares. This isn't a slam against ADJ. I think you know we have good history and I intend to keep things just as they are if not better.

I will need to perform the swap-out ASAP and will place the order Monday morning. I'll phone it in to ensure fastest service.

Thanks for reading. We'll have resolve ASAP.

if it works 100% in sound active stand alone mode...i would say your issue is the driver of the DMX. The driver tells the LED to "Dim" and its sounds as if its not doing that. Now, the only way to be sure is if i had it here and was working on it. But all my years as a tech point my first impression to start there. Best of luck to you sir on this. Call our service department for further assitance.
