Mapping problem regarding the midi strips

They changed (lowered) the spec of the strips before it was released to the public, so when you see the videos from last year (9-11 months ago) of scrolling or browsing using the strips, that was on the original versions before it got downgraded.

There is apparently a new (fixed) version of the VMS4 due to be shown at NAMM, so we are all waiting to see where we - the original customers - stand.

so you are telling me that with the present version of vms4 i can't do what i want?
what else can we expect from this unit... so far a lot of disappointment and various problems and a few good points!
i think there's got to be a solution for all the owners!!!

I'm not saying you can't - just that this may be the reason why you're having trouble.

I know that when I asked Atomix (VDJ people) about mapping the strips for browsing they told me it couldn't be done, for the reason I mentioned.

as we are all waiting for an official answer, the new vms4 is using the midi strips exactly for the same purpose (tree browsing) i mention to this thread...
so the question is can i do that with the current version of the vms4 or is this another problem???
