I am trying to set up lights for a small theater performance. How do I set up my lights so I can manually fade up individual lights? I am running 4 ADJ VPAR lights with the ADJ Operator 192 (UPC # 819730011978). I have lights set at d1, d17, d33, and d49. I am not sure how to assign the channels. I am pretty new to lighting.

Hello Garrett, you have your lights setup to work with the controller on every fixture button. Would you be able to tell me what you have the channel mode set to for the lights?
I have d1 on ch 1, d17 on ch 2, d33 on ch 3, and d49 on ch 4
The channel modes you will want them to be the same, that way you know how each one will be controlled since the channel modes will have different settings and control options. I would recommend 4 channel mode if you want access all 4 colors as each one will be set to individual color faders.
I set all the lights to channel 4. I can now control the color for the four lights simultaneously. How can I fade each light up and down?
You will need to select the fixture button of the light you wish to control and raise the fader corresponding to that color. If you are looking to be able to control or set the colors separately you will need to go into program mode, from there it will allow you to select each light independently. Though from there you can save those into scenes that way you don't have to manually select the colors.
That makes sense. So in program mode I can set the color for each light. Then in that scene I can manually fade up and down each light? Right now, if I press a fixture button the light will default to red and I just need white light.
Yes, you will need to select the fixture button of the first light you wish to set the color for. Once you do that deselect the fixture button then select the next fixture and do the same thing. You won't be able to control the intensity of the scenes once they have been made but you can use the fader labeled Fade to adjust how quickly it will turn on that color you saved.
Is there any way to set it so that I can adjust the intensity of each light individually during our performances. I have different parts of the stage that need to be lit at different times. I have someone who will be working the lighting during the show that can fade lights up and down for each part of the stage.
You would then do what I explained previously, going into program mode to control them independently. Since program mode would allow for you to select the lights and adjust the intensity of each light.
