lotus....

Point your lotus down at the dance floor so that the beams make the floor look like it is moving. This way your intells and other effect cen be focused on the walls celings etc.

yea thats a good idea, also you can try to put it on a corner at an angle, so it gets some of the dancefloor and the wall

i think he's talking about POWER! with it being drained from other lights.

o, in that case, dnt turn as many lights on at the same time, and plug the lotus in a separte socket

You should get somekind of controller with a "relay pack" like the SC8FC Systemor the Light CoPilot. I have the SC8FC and it is great!

i know this is off topic, but im doing a medium size party about 75-100 prople, im gonna buy a lotus and a vertigo is that enought. or will just a lotus be enough.

i recommend a lotus, a vertigo, and then some. perhaps a moonflower.

This is just my opinion, but it won't be enough. I find that however many lights I have I still want more. As far as just using a Lotus and vertigo, I don't think that will be enough, mind you I started out with just a Lotus, 1 mini gem, and a party gobo light. I recommend getting a party gobo light, a couple of colour pods, and maybe a saga. That would be a good start. get the Lotus after you have a few different lights since you won't want to use the Lotus all night. I used it maybe 7 or 8 times a night. Keep in mind it has a 10 minute on, 10 minute off duty cycle, and is 800 watts which is really bright. It fills up a hall really nice though. I used to shine it on the ceiling above the dance floor, or at the wall behind me, or directly down onto the dance floor. Don't shine it into the audience since it is extremely bright. Vertigo is also a good light. I wouldn't mind one of those myself. If you are only going to have a few lights, get some that you can run for more than 10 minutes at a time. I leave the Party gobo light on almost all night. Really nice subtle effect. The Pod lights you can run for quite a while too. Like I said before though the more lights you get, the more you want to get too.
