In traktor when i go to audio setup in output routing i get VMS4 with 2outs and 2ins so cant get more than one chanel working and i cant use traktor, if i chose ADJ ASIO the program crashs to....

The correct settings to use all of the 4 decks in vms4 for VDJ7 Pro: (try it) 1st: Set the skin to 4deck 2nd: Go to mapper, type in at the action learn tab CH1_PFL deck 3 select, CH2_PFL deck 1 select, CH3_PFL deck 2 select, CH4_PFL deck 4 select. 3rd and last: Advanced Configurations deck1-asiodriver-output 3&4, deck2-asiodriver-output 5&6, deck3-asiodriver-output 1&2, deck4-asiodriver-output 7&8.

And always remember to click apply everytime you change the settings..

You might want to try to boot up the ASIO drivers without using any other applications (just go to start -> all programs -> american audio asio drivers. And try to start the application this way. If it still crashes, i think its the driver.

First delete the ASIO drivers via start -> configuration screen -> add/remove programs (or software if your using windows XP).
Then delete the VMS4 drivers from your device manager in Windows (if thats what your using) then unplug the device, and re-plug it again.
Then reinstall the ASIO drives for the VMS4 after the device has been recognized by Windows. This should fix the problem.

By the way, make sure you have the newest drivers from the VMS4 website. Hope this helps.
It used to be the case that in order to properly install the ASIO drivers, you had to install the copy of VDJ LE that comes on the VMS4 CD.

Installing the ASIO drivers on their own didn't do the job properly.

If you've not installed LE then it might be worth a try.

Note: you need 64 bit drivers for a 64 bit OS.

please update to traktor 1.2.7 too.
however, if several applications dont work with the asio driver this would be still an indication for a not proper installed driver. have you been in contact with ADJ support?
Formated and installed win7 ultimate, same problem, installed ond wireless and video drivers before vdj, got it to work one time but the second try it crashed again!!

looks like asio dont like sony or i7, anyone is using vms4 with a laptop similar to mine ???

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME
Windows uses registry values called UpperFilters and LowerFilters, and they're notorious for causing problems with ASIO (and other things).

There have been issues before with Logitech webcams for example, where simply deleting these UpperFilter and LowerFilter values cures things.

Obviously you do this at your own risk, but it might be worth a try...
