That won't work very well unless you match your fixtures to what someone else is using. MyDMX works more on snapshots rather than associating the values with a fixture.

You'd be best off learning MyDMX(it's not that difficult) or bringing in someone to program it. It won't take long but once you assign your universe, don't ever change it!
Chris,

You are correct that unless every fixture was the same then programming that has already been done wouldnt work too well. I was merely stating that I have some experience programming Elation DS 250s. What I think Adrian is looking for is someone to program his current setup. In fact, I did the exact same thing when I first got MyDMX and hired a very experienced guy to program 10 scenes for me. I had absolutely zero experience on lights, DMX, Hardware controlers or software. What this did for me was allow me to see how the different fixtures ran and was able to reverse engineer it and start experimenting with programming myself. anyway, it certianly helped me and I was hoping to help someone else along the way. BTW, good advice on never changing an assigned universe!

My problem is that since I've moved to computer based lighting, I don't need my DMX operatator anymore, so maintaining that compatibility is kind of strange. As a result, I've wasted a LOT of channels and I'd like to collapse stuff down to free up channels.

For now, I'm good though.
