i'm completely new to dj lighting. i really like the liquid sky type effect so I'm trying to setup something in my house. I have a vaulted ceiling on the top floor so want to have the sky run across where a flat ceiling would be. I've read something about it is hard to get the galaxian sky to do this effect but it can be done somehow. can anyone give me directions for how to do it?

I also ordered a royal sky. is it easier to get the liquid sky effect with that unit? and how do I do it? I also ordered a uc3. I've read about some sort of pc interface you can use to control dmx compatible lights. is that what I need to do?

Just hoping some people have used these units this way. thanks for any help.

Tim, Welcome to the forums.
I know for a fact that the Galaxian sky does not do the "Liquid Sky" effect via DMX. It is really a stand alone function.
I am not sure of the Royal sky as I personally have not used one yet. But I do know that on both lasers you can adjust the X and Y position of the laser so you can adjust how high up and left or right the beams are going.
You can use a Pc lighting control software however if you are using just these two lasers you really don't need all of the extra functions a software provides. Your choice though. Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
