Lighting Lamps and Distance

Would an American DJ Dj Scan 250EX produce a strong enough beam of light 40 feet up in the air to a stage below? I am working on a project, redesigning an auditorium and the ceilings are 40 feet high. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

40' is really too far a throw for 250w movers. You really need at least 575w. 700w would be highly advisable from that distance because even 575w can get weak.
