So a scanning rotating gobo-moonflower, or a barrel gobo-moonflower? That would be SICK! It would be like the one m-a-r-t-i-n makes, but dont make it DMX, so it can be a low cost effect for all to enjoy!

or how about a Saga with a mirror dish like the one on the scatter beam.

I think the speed of the gobo's and colors would have to be slowed down quite a bit if you incorporated a moving mirror on the outside of the Saga otherwise they would just be a blur of colors and patterns. Just a thought.
I took the mirrored ball off of my Party Gobo lamp and put it in front end of my Roto Pod. What a neat effect that was. I also made my own mirrored ball with different colors of mirrors and bigger than the originals it came with, actually the same size as the ones on the Dicro Dishes for a mini gem and glued them to a half of a styrafoam ball. That gave a really neat effect to the Party Gobo lamp too. Now I'm thinking of making a 4 sided prism shaped mirror to try on the Party Gobo lamp too. I love mucking around with different effects.

Another company makes lights like you describe, DJ_Ray. They aslo have one with a barrell mirror. That's a good idea that I think ADJ should look into.
