lighting

at the studio the company i work for owns (its a club/catering facility) we have a multisaucer and a multistar. when turned on together they produce an awesome effect of tons of multicolor beams. very cool in my opinion.

do you have any intel. lighting in there also? If so, does either combo. dround out one another?

I'm just worried if I add either the multi-saucer and octobeam or the multistar it will cover up my mighty scans?

yes we have intels in there, but we turn them off or dim them really low when we put on the multi and rolling stars so they are the primary lights, and believe me they do give off a a lot of light. we rarely mix the intels w/ those lights.

...isn't the octobeam that dinky laser thing?? i have seen it and it is not impressive at all.

A great centerpeice effect would be the Tempest! It is DMX accessable and would probably work well with your Mighty Scans!

Here's an idea for you... I know this may seem a little far fetched, but if you have seen the movie Independence Day, you'll know the effect that I'm talking about... In the scene where she's dancing on the stage, You can see an effect on the floor... They are about 10 flat beams of light on the floor spinning back and forth to the music... the light is aimed practically straight down , and is such an intense and filling effect, I really think that it saved that scene in the movie... Anyway that effect light is called a Fan-1000 It's a great effect and if you can't find one of those... try using an avenger pointed in the same fashion... Trust me... a certified lighting technician for the last 5 years and a full time lighting jock at a club... I think that you should at least give it a shot...

If you want a great centerpiece effect, I'd say probably the multi-star 2 and the dynamic beam, which is a red and green laser in one. Killer show. Just make sure to leave the laser on the whole time because turning them on and off constantly will bust the diodes.
