I have a situation that is preventing my business from expanding. I can't buy new lights, and its starting to affect all aspects of my business. Or, let me say that I've been unable to buy the lights I want to get, and hence, that in turn has been screwing me over.
(Why? Loaned some people some money, they refuse to pay it back. Nice, isn't it? Don't get me into details, your brain will explode. I wish to avoid lawsuits for those injured by cranium shapnel.)
So the situation is that with the lighting I currently have, it's overall not sufficient. Some of it is color choice by the director, but still, even some of the brighter colors need more.
So, let's assume I double up my 64 LED Pros from 8 to 16, and aim the new 8 the same as the existing 8. Assuming RGB and dimming at 100%, and throw being the same, and the aim/focus being as close to the same as possible, what sort of increase could I expect? I doubt is a straight up "twice as bright". I'm thinking it's more like wire gauges, where using 2 of one type only increases the gauge by 2(2 16's become a 14).
Ideally, I want 8 Elation Opti Tri Pars.
Also, I can fall over and get Mega Bar 50's and Profile Panels if I have to if the budget gets tight.
In the end, I will eventually get the Elation Opti Tri Pars, but this circle of crap that keeps sucking my money away has been postponing this purchase for way too long.
Thanks for any input. I'm sure there's math involved. I'll go buy a calculator, preferable one that lights up, and has DMX input!
