Really no guide or anything like that. But to equal a 250w discharge, you would need about 90w LED. If you are looking for best performance per watt, I would recommend the AMDJ Vizi Spot. It uses a 150w lamp, but it would take about 180w LED to equal its output. It is equivalent to a 500w discharge.

It's more than just that. Different optics and LED's have different output results, regardless of their wattage draw. So, it's really up the the folks MAKING the fixture to tell you what they are supposedly equivalent to, then using your eyes to see if they are right or not.

For example, the Elation Par-64 LED cans put out way more light than the ADJ Par64 LED cans, but without a lot more power consumption.

So, there really ins't a guide. What the maker says combined with personal experience is the best way to get the answer you need on a per fixture basis.
