You don't mix and match when linking fixtures in master/slave mode. You only do that with like fixtures or fixtures that claim linking or master/slave capability with another fixture.

Of course, you know the whole purpose if this mster/slave linking is that they all behve the same, right?
Sorry for the confusion... I didn't mean that I wanted to mix my lights.
I used to have 4 ADJ DMX 150s and one of my favorite things about them was that you could assign a master and the other three slaves each had their own "address". The master unit would control the rest. The cool part was the chases were built in. Sometime the lights all did the same thing, but there were in fact a variety of chases.
I would love to find an LED "replacement" for those!
Or maybe something exists like a chase pak that works with DMX par cans, bars and even the LED Trispots that share the same DMX traits.

If you bothered to read the product description that was on the product information page for Trispot, you'd have clearly seen that the device that you're interested in supports master/slave mode, which is what you're after.

A chase controller is an entirely different element entirely. It's for controlling a group of lights, but not for controlling patters or preferences, but more for sequencing stuff on/off, typically in either a user-defined choice of a timer-based interval or sound active.
Chris, I don't know if you are familiar with the Color DMX 150s (discontinued), but with those fixtures, the master (head 1) would control the other three lights (heads 2 3 and 4), but not all of them would just change to the same color at the same time. There were color change patterns and chases that were quite nice and easy. Not really master/slave in the usual sense.
I'm sure it's just wishful thinking, but I was hoping that ADJ had included that very nice feature to the Trispots (or some other light). Big Grin
And I think that's what I said in my first response is that they have a master/slave mode, which would do what you were after.

I typically don't research older fixtures. Time is a valuable commodity for me right now.

Work 120-hour weeks and tell me how much fun it is, especially when you spend a lot of that time having to deal with clients who shaft you on the pay side of things.
I'll believe it when I see the check!

(I know you're joking. But on the other side of things, I get lied to my face daily, and it's really getting tiresome around here. By "here", I mean business and at home, not this forum.)

I'm having a string of clients right now who are ripping me off, so funds are super tight, and it's preventing a major lighting purchase that I reallly, really, REALLY want to make. And Jingles knows exactly which lights I'm talking about!

The most important thing comes down to the fact that if this helps someone find the light they are looking and/or not make a bad purchase, then that's really all that matters. Happy end users help make their clients happy.
