Hallo together,
I'm new to the community and proud having a ADJ myDMX interface too since some weeks. I ordered it especially because of the preview functionality by the 3D visualizer. I started with a small band and I have to program and simulate the lighting at home before testing it on stage. However, already after some tests I got some issues / bugs with respect to LED spot and bar profiles and/or the 3D preview. Just simple things but critical for the application in my context. So I'd like to ask you as the experts in addition to solve the following issues:

1) Our new, small band have 4 lightmaxx slim spots with RGBA. I used at first the original profile SLIM SPOT.ssl of the ScanLibrary. At the first view the profile looks quit correct and there is no problem to control the spots physically. But the 3D preview does not work in any case as expected. It is very annoying especially for a beginner like me. The first bug I figured out via the Library editor (June 1, 2011) after hours over night, that the shutter (channel 2) has to have a "shutter open" at value "0" as well as the control channel 7. Unfortunatelly this was the only issue I could solve by myself up today.

2) The next problem with the color "amber" I could not solve. I did all my best, but the white/amber channel 6 does not work in any case within the 3D preview. Using the effect type "white/amber" and selecting the color "amber" neither the beam will shine in amber standalone nor it influences the color mix in combination with the other 3 RGB channels :-( within the 3D preview as well as within the color boxes above the color faders. Have anybody already solved that problem?

3) The Slim Spots have some macros at channel 7 for example a simple "color change". Are there solutions to simulate them in the 3D visualizer too? I guess it should work, because such features seems to be available / working for scanners, heads etc. What are the tricks to simulate that for our LED slim spots to as well as the LED bar as follows?

4) The second fixture we have is the Eurolite LED Bar RGB 252-10. The pre-installed profil of the ScanLibrary seems to be also completely wrong. The bar "shines" at the visualizer like a LED pannel but not with beams of a wall washer as it is. Even though I tried to configure 3 beams. In any case the visualizer shows only one beam, no mixture, no multi color etc ... And how can I configure the multiple presents for CH2 to CH6 according the manual (Eurolight_LED_Bar_252-10_51930420.pdf) for applying the 3 sections of the bar separately?

The following issues are not critical but also annoying to me:
- Within the Library Editor / Profile Settings like weight, the RDM and Lamp settings will not be kept when saving the profile. When reopen the profile these fields are empty again.
- The fixture shape shown in the Profile Setting (smal rotating picture in the middle) is not used for simulating the fixture in the 3D preview
However in a worst case I may live with these "features".

Please note again, that the profiles work correctly when controlling the LED fixtures via the myDMX interface. The issue is the 3D visalization, which does not work equivalent to the lighting, so I'm not able at the moment to simulate the lighting in front of the physical test on stage :-(

Thanks a lot for aour help in advance
Andi

Hi Jeffrey,
thanks for your accommodation.
In the meantime I figured out with respect to issue 2) the following additional issue, which my be the reason for the problem I described above:
Within the Scanlibrary editor the "properties" setting of the the effect type "white/amber" will not be kept when saving the profile. By reopen the profile the color setting is switched back to "black".

If required I may email to you the screenshots and the profiles, because it seems to be not possible to attache files here directly isn't it?

Andi
