If your using ADJ Par 64 LED's in 6 channel mode You will be able to control 2 of these lights. The stage setter 8 is a 16 DMX channel board. however if you have say for example 8 of these p64 led fixtures you can address a set of 4 of these to a address of 1 and then address the other half to a address of 7 and have control over 4 pars at a time. Make sense?
My opinion is to move up to a bigger controller. Such as a dmx operator 192 or a magic 260 or even a My DMX set up.
Welcome to the forums.
Sincerely,
Thanks for your help. We do community programs, and in the past have used the Stage Setter 8 with about 16 lights, 8 PAR64 cans, 4 PAR56, and 4 PAR38 cans. We are doing a Christmas program in a different venue, which I'm afraid won't be able to handle the electrical output. So we are looking at going with LED lights for that purpose. The stage size is 18 feet deep, 28 feet long, with 11 foot ceilings. I found a package that includes 8 PAR64 LEDs and a DMX Controller with 192 DMX channels. Will that suffice for this size stage? Am I right in assuming that controller will work with 32 lights?
