ADJ recommends Arriba Cases. In my case, I can't agree 100%, but they are significantly better than using the retail boxes to store and transport your lights.

There is a case designed to carry 4 cans on a T-bar, but it won't fit Par64's. Even with the Par64's off the T-bar, it's hard to cram them in there. The best bet for these are hard cases. Some company even makes a fibershell case for these(like you tpyically see with drums). I keep getting ad inserts from Live Sound International for a company that makes cases, but they keep showing my dealer price, and I'm not a dealer, but I sure like the prices. ATA, hard cases, whatever. Lot of choices.

For movers and anything expensive, a hard case of some sort is best.

What are you transporting specifically?
I haven't used Pelican cases for transporting and protecting lights, but I will agree they are good stuff and expensive. You have to punch out your own foam blocks from the dice cut foam to fit your gear.

I also know a guy transporting a lot of expensive mics in a single case and he's had absolutely zero problems, provided he remembers what mic goes where(most are shaped similarly, hence the confusion).

It really depends on what you have, and what you want to spend. Once those variables are figured out, the rest comes together. Obviously you're not concerned about the fact that decent cases cost more. Just be aware that this should ideally be a one-time cost, which over time makes this quite affordable.

I'm ordering cases for some of my gear in a couple of months. Hazer and a ground fogger. The cardboard boxes they shipped in aren't gonna last too much longer.
