But if you are doing Mobile Events, I would highly Recommend the Concept 1, due to the weight factor (lightweight) and the 250watt Halogen vs. Gas Discharge Bulb.

I have four might scans and two moving heads with 150 discharge. The crowds for the band I do lights for are getting too big for 250 halogen. The joy 300 options looked better than the active scan. The joy has seperate effects wheel, 16 bit resolution, 3 and 5 facet prisms, options that the active scan does not have.

Have you looked into moving heads, such as the Auto Spot 150, which uses a 150 discharge. . . or the Accu Spot 250, which is a 250 discharge?

For some reason I favor scanners to moving heads. Their easier to set up and break down and they seem to take up less space.Plus a mirror's top speed is faster than a head,and is tighter when playing in manual for pan and tilt.I feel like I have more control,ya dig?

I dig, I know someone here on Long Island who has a pair of Joy 300's set up on the walls in his club/bar, he wants to upgrade over the spring so I will let him know you are interested and see what kind of deal he can hook you up with, again he's looking at early spring and I can't make any promises as they are not mine. . . . but I will let him know that someone is looking for them!
