I am using the WiFly 16 Channel lighting controller connected to the DOTZ Tpar lights. I have not been able to find a way to manually dim the lights while using the "Scene" mode.

I have been creating multiple "Scenes" with the light levels going from full bright to low light settings. Burns up too many "Scene" buttons.

Hi

I have a ADJ Dmx Operator 2 and the new WiFly 16. With the old Operator 2 the fixture sliders output when scenes or chases are running so you can control say the master dimmer, or manually control say a hazer by turning its fixture channel on to make the adjustment, then turn it off, etc. It makes the board so versatile.

However you can't with the WiFly 16. The only time you have manual control is when the LED display on the unit reads.. 'Fixtures' and thats not when you have a scence selected or a bank/chase running on auto. Although the LED fixture light comes on when you press it there is no output.

Whilst I love the WiFi and the fact it saves its data to a Sd card (easy to back up) It makes the unit far less versatile the the operator 2.

I hope I'm wrong and someone else will explain how you can have manual output when scene/chases are active.

All The Best Gary
Thank you Gary. I tried all kinds of combinations and options but none of the attempts were able to control the master dimmer in the SCENES mode. I find it very disappointing that a basic fundamental and very important action to have has been omitted. Why? Maybe there is a software update... I will call tech support and see if they are aware of a solution.
Hi Jkai
I just spent an hour playing with both my old operator 192 and my WiFly16, just to make sure what I wrote above is correct...and it is. In a nutshell I have manual punch through when scenes/chases are running with the old 192 but not with the WiFly 16.

I have only had the WIfly !6 a few days, and I too am very disappointed, its a real deal breaker for me, so much versatily....gone Gary
Sorry to say I cannot recommend this DMX controller. It's missing the most important element of what we need a controller to do and that is to be able to have a Master Dimmer while in the scene and chase modes. Why would any engineer create a lighting board with out the option of a Master Dimmer? What a dumb decision! Don't buy this if a Master Dimmer is important to any lighting tech!!
