Interference

I don't get it - why would you connect the master out to your sound card?????

Anyway, the VMS4 does produce a certain amount of 'gunk' on the output if you listen to it loudly enough, but it's way below normal listening level and is hidden once music is playing.

ok cheers... I've connected to my soundcard so i can record sets as the recording in traktor does'nt work...

what "doesnt work" with the recording in traktor?

also, connecting another soundcard to your computer can stress your system... you may have to raise the latency and follow some other tuning tips for a better performance.

It only records if i use the internal mixer in traktor but i like to use the external mixer of the vms4.

And i haven't connected another sound card to my pc its the one i put in when i built the computer and i don't really see why this should make any difference as i'm only using an audio out from the vms4 into my pc its been fine with a whole host of different synths and turntable and cdj setups that i use in the studio.
I can get rid of the noise by just adjusting the line input levels on the soundcard but then i have hardly any signal as the vms4 has a really quite output level for some reason.

I dont really want to raise latency as i am a scratch dj and its hard enough trying to used to the latency at its lowest.

Looks like i'll just have to connect my vms4 back into the monitors and buy an ikey or something similar ....a little annoying as i already have the necessary equipment.

i have the same problem, but only with not balanced output (rca red-white), i have a big interference sound... don´t happen with the xlr output, it work ok with this output!!! any issue?, any fix?
