Interchangeable parts

Hi all,
I think this is my first post. Smiler

I didn't find this anywhere around.
[Short] Are parts between VMS4 and VMS4.1 interchangeable? [Short]
I bought the VMS4 two or three years ago, I've been a happy user since then. I acknowledge there's some problems with it, but I manage to get around it every time. But instead of working around, could I just fit some 4.1 parts i.e. to get better sound? If so which ones should I fit.
I have advanced knowledge in electronics and I've opened the VMS4 before to fix some minor stuff due to heavy use in outdoor dance partys.

So, can I fit the vms4.1 audio board (http://parts.americandj.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ItemNumber=Z-APDD036001&ProductLine=VMS743) and buy the new transformer, to get better sound? Will this result in better audio?
I'm seeking for:
Stronger output (VMS4 is almost 8db weaker than most mixers)
Clearer sound

Hello CDeus,

Sorry unfortunately it isn't possible to do what you are describing. The VMS4.1 has fixes not just to components and types but also to the internal PC board layout. You would essentially have to replace all of the VMS4 boards with VMS4.1 boards and use the higher voltage power adapter to achieve the stronger output and clearer sound.

Thanks for the reply. So, there's no work around. I'm gonna have to buy new gear?
Just another question. I red around in the forums, that if I use a slightly stronger voltage power adapter, I could get stronger output. Is this true? And how much is too much?
