I'll bet that this a much debated topic. Do you prefer intels of effects for your gigs?

I think Intels are much better. They provide more "looks" Effect are the same thing over and over.

i really prefer both of the FX lighting.
to me mixed lighting is better and shows how advance you really are in the business.
intels on the whole time
and the FX or in 15-30min intervals.

I prefer both also, so its not boring the whole time, switch around from just regular lights and intels, and it depends on the music also.

You need a bit of both. Non intel effects are usually used for room fillers. Then you add your sweeping effects... Add low light effects if you want. Then you have the intels which are the main crowd pleasers. 
I agree with DJ RAY. Intel's are to boost the effect on cwertain types of music, but then its also good to have a few classic effects also, because if the place you are doing a gig at, is too small, and the atmosphere would be ruined with intel's, thats where your effects would come in! 
But I think both are the best. A little bit of this, a little bit of that!
