initial setup of dj scan250

I have two new scan 250s. I need help setting them up. I have an Elation DMX Operator board. I can't seem to get this thing going and, yes, this is my first intelligent light, thought I do use a controller board for 12 lights for dimming and chases. Is there a good instructional cd or dvd or video out there for us newbies?
