a new profile for a light for example Revo 4 ADJ how do I save it in with the amrican dj profiles already int he Mydmx library. I seem to be saving them as a new flder called revo 4 or generic etc

Let's say you make a new fixture or you get one from Jingles or someone else, or the latest MyDMX profiles downloads.
You have two choices. Choice 1 is: Move the profile to where you expect it to be, such as moving a Revo4 profile to:
C:\myDMX\ScanLibrary\American D\
Or, you can make a directory for your custom profiles, which may or may not be a good thing. This does require you do more searching when adding fixture.
I do want to warn you though. Let's say you update a profile. Let's say, for example, you buy a Mega Panel, and you don't want to be a glowing object and you go tweak the profile, but you've already added the light into your universe. Well, MyDMX won't update it, even if you quit MyDMX and come back. I know, it's strange. Try to get your profiles and universe in order as soon as possible. This makes you programming go easiler, especially in the 3D Visualizer.
Also, feel free to rename profiles as needed.

I find it useful to save moded fixtures --- LED 64 can---. The lines help to spot it quickly and not get it confused with pre-exsiting fixtures.
