i just bought a pocket scan. there was a little foam bit wrapped around the mirror, is that suppose to be put on there after each use? and also is it okay to move the mirror with your fingers?

nope, just there for initial shipping. move it around all you like just not with the unit turned on
Foam is just for shipping, Try not to move the Mirror/Stepper Motor manually (unless storing it for transporting from gig to gig) The Mirror/ Stepper Motor if moved by hand will not stay, once
power is turned on and it resets it's motors.
A DMX Operator Controller will allow you to position the mirrors or choose a Color or Gobo pattern.

i just use the foam piece when transporting. thats okay right? peace.
Im sure its ok, but i dont know how necessary it is. 
I use to always use that piece that is until I lost it of coarse 
i bought min factory refurb. and they came w the fome but is that all they came with? like my dj scans came with a metal cover. why is that my mighties dont come with covers either. whats that about protect the cheap stuff but not the good stuff
