When I set the Mode to HTP for all channels the DMX numbers change with the show but the sliders do not move?

When I set the Mode to LTP the channels do not change with the show and the sliders also do not move?

I would expect that the sliders would move for the LTP unless I change them with the mouse in which case that would be the LAST Takes Priority command - but nothing from the show appears and I may as well be in the setup screen without any scenes.

When in HTP mode I would expect the sliders to move and whichever is higher the mouse position or the scene position would take priority.

My hope is that when in LTP mode I can adjust a channel to where needed but when the scene changes that the scene would retake control to change that channel if it is programmed to do so. But that doesn't occur. LTP mode does nothing at all?

Any suggestions?

HTP is "highest takes priority"

LTP is "latest takes priority".

You need to play with these on a channel by channel basis to find which way works right for you. I have some channels set to auto, some HTP, some LTP. Also, check to see that you have your priorites on HTP/LTP set properly as well.
Thank you for your reply. I think I have a new comers understanding of HTP and LTP. I was wondering if the Scene should show the sliders moving when in LTP mode and if the scene should also be turning on the lights (as it does in HTP mode and auto mode)? Also when in HTP mode the sliders do not move but the DMX values are changing (above the sliders) as the lights do turn on and follow the scene.
Thanks
Jim
I am using with real lights and the DMX values change and the light correspondingly represent those DMX values but the sliders don't go up and down with the displayed DMX values when in HTP mode. When the channels are in LTP mode they do not respond at all to the scene being selected or run. They do go up and down when in Auto mode - but then I am not able to change them in Auto mode. I would like to have them respond to the scene when in LTP mode and allow me to change them until the next scene needs to retake control or if that scene is not using the light it will remain as is (ie. Last Takes Priority). That is my interpretation of how it should behave but it doesn't do anything when in LTP mode - unless I slide the sliders with the mouse.
