how/where do i make adjustments to use 4 or 6 decks in vdj7 (pc)?

unfortunately, i'm not familiar with the VDJ software, so if no one here has an answer for you i can only recommend you to contact the technical support (emails in my signature)...

I would suggest a visit to the VDJ forum, where there are lots of VMS4 owners running VDJ.

There is even a user who has redesigned the VMS4 skin to work with four decks. It's not been published yet, but is on the way soon.

Ít´s impossible to explain in my (bad) english. But it´s easy to show it in pictures or a Video. My Idea: On VDJ-Site (www.virtualdj.com) is a german part. There you´ll find a "German-Wiki" and in one of the new parts there´s a Video wich shows the Options you need for your problem!

thanks dj franky... i just wanted to be sure there was nothing on the vms4 itself (4/8 out) that needed to be adjusted. i'll try this

Oh, you have to!
To use all 4 Chans on VMS4 with VDJ7 you have to switch to 8out in Front of VMS4!

yes, you can now use 4 decks, but problem is that you can't control them with VMS4. When you swith to deck 3 & 4 you can't use jog wheel,loop's or cue points.you have to control them with the software... I'll hope someone can make the perfect config for the VMS4 where you can use all buttons, slide strips,leds... wich is actually build for...

I use VDJ vith 4 decks and the skins have a switch button that allows you to swap the tracks to the Jog wheel. Worked great.

In a few days there will be a special vms4 skin for switching between 2 or 4 decks from skinmaker djdad available. I´m his "beta-tester" and can tekll you, that it is working fine! if u use the skin in 2 decks modus, you´ll have 2 decks. swithing to 4 deck modus you´ll have 4 decks and you´ll be able to "swap" between 1+3 and 2+4 ti use the Jogs and so on. Needs a little bit work from you in the mapper, but it´s easy. More to come in VDJ-Skin-Forum

American Audio is very lucky to have a skin developed by a pro.

Hi Guys...I was just wondering if there is an update on using the 4 decks with VDJ 7, I know there is post on VDJ forum but you can only use 2 decks at a time, I am hoping you will be able to use 3 decks at the same time.

on the vdj website the new vms4 2.01 skin has been uploaded. with it you can swap between the 4 decks at once.

looking for your help if possible im all new to medi scene, i have downloaded the new skin for vdj 7 to use 4 decks, how do I configure the mapping so that i can swap decks.

I can also only hear music from channels 2 & 3.
