Cheapest way:

Find the ceiling joists (studs are in walls Wink ).

Sink an large "eye-bolt" into it. An eye-bolt has a wood-screw on one end, the other is a closed loop. You'll need to find one with a large "eye" to accomodate a C-Clamp.

Use a C-clamp to connect the bracket of the light fixture to the eye-bolt.

I would VERY HIGHLY recommend using a saftey-cable from the fixture to a second eye-bolt.
what i did with my 24 pound scanner(adj performance scan 250!) was i took a 5/8 lag screw (bout 3 inches long) and drilled a hole into the wood beam of my celing then i screwed the light up into the hole and it has not fallen or anything yet!! but i would def reccommend some type of safety cable or chain or somethin! might not be a heavy light but gravity ads weight on the way down from a fall!! just my 2 watts!! jingles!!
