Hey everyone...

While chatting with a friend of mine in his sound and lighting rental warehouse, I noticed some road cases with "concept" spray painted onto them.

Being curious, I asked if they could possibly be the newer ADJ Concept lights. Sure enough they were! I asked how they really perform "in the field" next to other very well known fixtures. Other fixtures like M*RT1N R0b0scans and High End Syst3ms Trackssp0ts.

He said that in all seriousness the Concept fixtures were outperforming the other fixtures. He stated that they were brighter than a Tracksp0t and seemed less finicky than a r0b0scan.

They were not quite as smooth in panning as a Tracksp0t but nobody would ever notice unless the fixtures were set up about a foot apart.

For super pro productions, the TSs allow slightly more flexibility since many seasoned pros are just more experienced with that unit.

The final thought being that as a rental company he would invest more heavily in the ADJ gear. To prove my point he pointed to the loading doors where a dozen tracksp0ts were being loaded onto a truck...never to be in the rental fleet again.

More proof that ADJ is not only gaining ground, but surpassing the companies widely believed to be industry leaders.

Good job guys!

Hey Drew...

Well yea, no kidding....but the Trackspot is still considered by many to be the benchmark as well as one of the industry standards. They've proven time and time again that they survive in the field.

I'm just praising the Concept series for meeting, or possibly exceeding the benchmark. Ten years old or not, it's still a milestone for ADJ.
