Hey everybody. I just bought a QSpand Mixer and run it side by side with the Co-Pilot. When the Co-Pilot is turned on and there is no audiop through the mixer there is a HORRIBLE noise (not nbecessarily a hum but a high pitched tone) that comes from the speakers. (Mpro 415). When I turn the Co-Pilot switch off the tone lessens and when I totally unplug the relay pack, it goes away. Obviously it has osmething to do with the Co-Pilot. How can I solve this annoyance? I was considering buying an isolation transformer but then figured A) why spend the money and B) this should not be a problem - especially when using two components made by the same company. Any ideas?

How/where are the units plugged in? Do you use a power conditioner? Also it is always good practice to keep your audio and lights on seperate circuits whenever possible. If you run your audio and lights on the same circuit you will likely run into problems tripping breakers at many venues.
For sure it's a grounding problem but it may be caused by the actual wires at your location. You can try to plug the units into different circuits (circuits that go to different circuit breakers) and as SKILZ has suggested isolate either one or both of the units from common metal.
you have an electrical interference coming thorugh your rca's, only way to stop it is to move the co-pilot away from the mixer OR get some better rca's such a monster cable etc..
I had an identical problem only with different equipment but i use turntables so. it might be different? i dont know
