Bump.... Oh man. What I've seen recently.

This one lady on an aquarium fish forum pulled that sort of thing after waiting 4 hours. Like the people just sit and camp out there full time to serve people like her!
(I'm moving a pleco from my 30 gallon to a 160 gallon tank since it's outgrowning it and could use the algea from the koi tank, so he'll become a permanent resident there until he's big enough to go into the monster fish tank, so I'm looking for replacements for the 30 gallon).

Right now I'm researching lasers as well. I'm interested in hearing opinions on any lasers. I want to incorporate those into the big show I work on for one scene. I want to shoot up into the ceiling or down into the area in front of the stage or the walls, but well above heads. With haze, it should look killer. But right now, the show has more pressing needs in regards to lighting.

Los, where the videos of any help for you? I know they probably don't go into deep enough depth for a lot of people. Really, I'd say wait a week to get opinions. A lot of folks here are just lurkers.
the galaxian sky is great, but not for large venues. i dont think its bright enough for lets say something over 500 capacity. I use it on a 200 plus, but i know something larger will just get lost about half way. try something with a moving head (not that a bigger piece will project stronger light), but i think the best ADJ mover has been discontinued. I know they carry the galaxian move, but i am not sure how that light looks on a moving head though.

btw, i read some reviews on the krypto elsewhere and they said that the light was dim. I hope they are bright enough to lighten up a 200 plus room since i purchased two of them. I'll keep you guys posted! I think personal reviews are a bit more helpful than videos. but i will have to see when they get here. cheers

My mounting options are limited. I can't blockthe screen, so any stand-based trussing is out unless I can lift it to the ceiling and I don't have that kind of funding or a span of square trussing long enough(40 feet with heavy duty stands that can go 30 feet high, not happening!) I was thinking center of stage, in front of stage, on a small mount and aim up. Or from the center but back of stage aiming up and out.

Plus, the venue is a 500-seater.
So I finaly recieved the krypto lasers (2) and i have goods and bads.
the goods:
the master/slave feature looks great!
I like the fact that you can play with the speed of the patterns and how fast you want them to change them. I really like the patterns, nothing special but pleasent enough.

the only bad thing that i can think of is the fact that it isnt really that bright. lucky enough that the room is dark.

I am using the lights along with the galaxian sky, and although the sky is much brighter, the kryptos really halp out. all and all, these lights are great. good buy at a good price.

I would hope that everyone here would give personal reviews about lights they just bought ar already have, no matter how old they are. Its good information for everyone else who is either considering new lights, of found a great deal for some used ones.
