Hi Guys I just purchased MYDMX and I seem to be havin a problem. I am using onstage performer to trigger the programme with midi note on. I have built some scenes in the editor then in the user screen I left clicked and the programme did learn the midi command. My problem is I cant seem to trigger the scene directly from onstage. I am sending the midi note via loopbe. Does anyone have any Ideas what im doing wrong
Thanks

Thanks for the response Jingles. What a pitty. The programme runs great, easy to use and easy to create fixtures. It would certainly be worth fixing this small problem im sure you would get PC DJ interest in the product. This is the first programme I have ever come across that has to be run in the foreground and I have been using computers since the old 386 days. Is there anyone out there who has worked around this problem???

Thanks
Chris
What poor service I got from ADJ. YOU dont know IF or when this problem will be fixed. Dont really care either by the look. Sent YOUR hardware back and will be deleting your VERY POOR programme today. Shame because the MYDMX was just what I was looking for. AHH well DASLIGHT here I come.
Hi Jingles Yes I did email chris. Its not a problem with the midi Its a problem with MYDMX. Why you cannot allow the programme to accept trigger commands while running in the background?? This question was asked way back last year on another thread which was being looked into. And reading all the threads relating to this problem not 1 has been answered in a reasonable manner, giving a proper explanation as to why this programme has got to run in the foreground.
Just imagine how many people like me are going to be really hacked off when they pay good money for this product, which is sold on many D.J sites here in the u.k, to find they cant run their main DJ programmes because something which should be running in the background simply wont have it.
The Simple matter here is you should be able to run MYDMX in the foreground, background or even in the back garden if need be. Another problem I had here was when I plugged the dongle in to the laptop sometimes it wont connect to the programme or visa versa, you have to unplug and plug in a few times. I looked for this problem In the forum and you admit to shipping faulty usb cables with the dongle "TRY ANOTHER CABLE" you say. What about we will supply another cable. How many people have you guys lost as customers because you simply don't understand what customer support is.

I would really like to know how many of these MYDMX units ADJ have had returned because of simple problems that have not been addressed correctly.
Not aiming these comments at you Jingles as you seem to be the only guy supporting this product it must be difficult for you.
But I can now see why this product is no longer having anymore cash pumped in to it.
Regards
Chris
Nobody emailed me. I checked my server logs.(the mail and web servers are in my computer room upstairs in my house!)

MyDMX has to be in the foreground due to threading issues. Seems Windows just doesn't want to get onto the multi-tasking bandwagon, they want to do multi-threading.
So what you are saying is No matter which company I choose I wont get away from this problem? DAslight? Compulive software? I dont think so. I Can get a better result with the free software freestyle 3 and a $10 dongle. than I can with MYDMx software. Maybe thats one of the reasons they are giving it away with their lighting .
I'm back for the time being. Been a while, felt like spending a litle spare time to get caught up.

I'm currently wrapping up slide scanning project and trying to get 2 DVD's done for a tomorrow delivery(not sure how well that is going to go). I've got a NTSC to PAL project to work on as well. Just a lot of time consuming stuff. At least I'm back to current with the web site again. Lots of new photos and new video up for people to look at.

I keep thinking about my competition, which has nothing to show, and I can show examples back to 2002.
