****Help me out Please. w/ my vertigo

some vertigo like mine don't have a sensetivity knob

so does the bass have to be really strong for it to move?

um....i think the music in general has to be loud, the way i tested mine was find the mic and clap really loud and it should move, if not the motor or circut is messed up, do the lights and fan come on?

Also I noticed some Vertigo's have a problem is the cover over the mic is caked up with dust. If it turns when you first turn on, then the motor is not the problem, it's something to do with the mic. If it doesn't ever turn, it is then probably something with the motor.

Hey KIDD have you solved it yet. Try putting your thumb over the mic to check it out.

I've had a similar problem with my vertigo. I have taken it totally apart and checked for cold solder joints and everything else. Finally replaced the pc board and mic but it still stopped moving after about 10 minutes every time. I'm pretty sure there is something shorting out in the motor itself. Will be replacing that as soon as I get the motor from adj. I never had these problems with my older vertigo. So I'm assuming something was changed between the two.

don't the boards have a saftey switch which is heat activated (overheat kill switch)??? if there is that may be wat is killin the motor after 10 min b/c it gets so hot and then shuts down the motor to keep it from overheating

The boards don't have a safety heat switch. Your problem sounds like the motor alright. The lifetime of the motor is shortened when you leave the light on without a cool down period. it distorts the bearing and causes them to seize.
