I've read all I can find on the internet about haze machines and have looked at everything from the cheapest water based fog/hazers to the real oil based compressor hazers. Fact is over time they all leave residue behind, even fog machines(have a look at the ceiling of your local nightclub). So residue is going to happen which requires cleaning to maintain your gear. OK. While at a nice concert venue last weekend I was in awe of the DF-50 hazer they use. The thing generates the finest mist that is near invisible (you have to really look to be able to see the fresh haze rising into the light beams) and there is absolutely NO funny fog smell at all, period. Pure air and fantastic light beams. I want that. How do I get it without spending $2700 on a DF-50? I'm convinced oil based is the way to go to avoid the fog smell. Can the Antari HZ-300 or HZ-350 fit the bill?

Thanks. I see that now about the HZ-300 but I was kind of leaning towards the HZ-350 since it has 700cu.ft. more output, a handy LCD control panel, and wireless remote. The HZ-350 manual clearly states simple on or off operation and the product video on Youtube shows a full on shit storm of haze blasting out of the unit. That could be a problem in a smaller space or when trying to simply maintain the haze atmosphere. Can anyone clear this up?
